This Policy document details how Somerset Advanced Motorcyclists (SAM) will manage the Personal Data of all those it holds personally identifiable information on.

We collect and retain the following data from our members:
Name, Address, Telephone Number(s), Email, Advanced Rider Status, Observer Status, Membership Status, Training Records, Gift Aid Contributions
We collect a subset of this data from enquiries at events for marketing purposes.
What that Data is used for
The data is used to enable us to effectively deliver IAM Roadsmart services and to enable us to keep our membership informed of the club activities.
How long we will keep data
We will retain the data we hold as follows:
Members (Associates, Full and Friends)
We will retain data for the duration of Membership and for a period of 1 year after membership ceases.
We will retain data for a period of 1 Year from initial contact, unless permission to retain for longer has been explicitly granted.
Who we will share data with
We will share contact details of Associates with Observer(s) so that training can be arranged.
How data is stored
We store our data using a secure cloud service.
Data may be transferred outside of the EEA.
Such transfers will be made within the jurisdiction of the Safe Harbor Agreement.
